Traditional Tamil clothing is reflective of the cultural essence of our community. Women wear sari draped around their body; which is a philosophical allegory of the synthesis of the body with the self but also to represent the identity of the female. Younger girls don Pavada - referred as half sari. This traditional attire serves a a hallmark to distinguish Tamil women from the rest of the world, while its ageless beauty is fascinating.

Men wear lungi(veshti) and Angavesta to symbolize their cultural belonging and highlight their virility.

The concept of adornment holds deep importance in Tamil culture. Deities must be ornated with specific garments and attire on particular occasions, conducive to much emphasis made on the appropriate grooming.
